Since 2005 we have carved a solid reputation for delivering exceptional exhibition stands for multinational clients throughout Ireland, UK and Europe. In recent years the business has evolved into producing bespoke joinery for commercial interiors such as retail fit outs, hospitality spaces and office interiors. Located in Newtownabbey, we operate throughout UK, Ireland and further afield in Europe. Privately owned, we operate as a group with a sister company Off The Wall Creative specialising in bespoke signage projects, we're unique in how we bring together creative, technology and production under one roof and work collaboratively with our sister company across multi-disciplines such as joinery, print, electrics and metal fabrication. We're a team of around 30 talented individuals who have built a fantastic community - we're collaborative, passionate and social. What connects us all is that we love what we do!

As the Production Manager, you will lead a team within the joinery and production departments, with the additional responsibility of expanding and developing your team in the coming weeks and months.

Key Responsibilities as a Production Manager;

This will be a hands on role with an expectation that the successful candidate will be involved in the manufacturing process, setting the standard for best practice. As well as leading from the front you will be responsible for:

Providing leadership and direction to the Joinery and Production team

Develop and maintain best practices in HSE awareness to avert potential incidents or accidents.

Ensure full compliance of entire team with site policies, procedures and HSE regulations.

Develop and maintain best practices and production efficiencies in line with the Materials Processing Operating System using the tools and techniques. Oversee day to day operations of the production facility Promote a culture of continuous improvement & strive towards best practice world class manufacturing. Improve the capabilities & capacity of the manufacturing unit, achieving Build to Schedule (BTS), On Time Delivery (OTD) & cost targets. Efficiently integrate new products into production. Lead, develop & motivate staff towards the achievement of targets & objectives on an ongoing basis. Provide relevant information and detail on an annual basis for the factory budgeting process in conjunction with the Financial Department. Ensure timely and relevant communication with all required departments in the businesses. Laise with design times to ensure accuracy of drawings prior to release to production Efficient and timely procurement of materials Update internal systems and schedules for production Identify potential bottlenecks and implement solutions Monitor project timelines and adjust schedules to meet customer deadlines.

What you will need to succeed as a Production Manager

A proven track record of operational achievement in a manufacturing environment is considered essential. Background of managing withing a joinery/fitout background is essential. A proven track record of production/operations experience with a significant part of this served at mid - senior management level. Experience of and a proven track record of staff management, appraisal & development of team. A strong motivator with excellent communication skills, you will be fully conversant on lean principles and have demonstrated the ability to apply lean techniques in your career to date. Proven track record of consistently meeting financial targets. Strong organisational and planning skills Ability to read and interpret Cad drawings Strong problem solving ability and attention to detail Ability to work as a team and independently to manage and achieve deadlines
