Hoffman is a key part of the Consolidated Timber Holdings Group (CTH), a leading UK manufacturer and supplier of wood panel products. Hoffman specialises in precision machining, value-added panel processing, and bespoke component production for a range of commercial and industrial applications.

This is an exciting time at Hoffman and CTH as we open a brand new, 3.2 acre site in Rainham with significant investment. We are deepening our presence and expanding our reach into new customer groups who are seeking quality, innovation and market leading timber solutions.

The role

The Production Manager oversees all daily and long-term manufacturing activities across the panel-processing department, including saw, edgebander, and laminator operations.

This role ensures overall safety, product quality, cost efficiency, workforce development, and on-time delivery.

The Production Manager leads supervisors, coordinates cross-functional teams, and drives continuous improvement initiatives to optimise performance and support business goals.

The person

5+ years of experience in manufacturing, including supervisory/managerial roles.

Strong knowledge of panel-processing equipment (saw, edgebander, laminator).

Experience managing production KPIs and leading multiple departments or shifts

Strong understanding of Lean/CI methods and structured problem-solving.

Excellent leadership, communication, and decision-making skills. Ability to manage budgets, equipment resources, and complex workflows. Proficiency with production planning systems (ERP/MRP).
