We are now looking for a Production Manager to join our team and help drive the delivery of exceptional fabrication solutions for our customers.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead daily workshop operations
, ensuring smooth workflow across all fabrication activities.
Plan, schedule, and coordinate production
to meet project deadlines and customer requirements.
Manage and allocate labour and resources
, ensuring staffing levels align with production demands.
Oversee fabrication processes
, ensuring work is carried out to technical specifications, drawings, and quality standards.
Monitor production performance
, identifying bottlenecks and implementing improvements to maximise efficiency.
Ensure materials, tools, and equipment
are available and prepared for upcoming jobs.
Uphold high standards of quality control
, conducting inspections and addressing non-conformances promptly.
Maintain strict health, safety, and environmental compliance
, promoting a safe working culture throughout the facility.
Oversee workshop and machinery maintenance
, planning preventative maintenance and supporting upgrades.
Coordinate with commercial, design, and project teams
to align production with company objectives.
Manage documentation and reporting
, including production records, KPI tracking, and QHSE compliance logs.
Drive continuous improvement initiatives
, optimising processes, reducing waste, and improving fabrication accuracy.
Train, mentor, and support workshop staff
, fostering strong team performance and skills development.
What We're Looking For:
Strong leadership and people management
-- ability to motivate, supervise, and develop workshop staff.
Production planning & scheduling
-- experienced in organising workloads, allocating resources, and managing timelines.
Manufacturing or fabrication experience
-- ideally within plastics, engineering, or similar industries.
Quality assurance knowledge
-- understanding of maintaining and improving quality standards.
Health, Safety & Environmental (QHSE) awareness
-- working knowledge of relevant regulations and safe working practices.
Maintenance oversight experience
-- familiarity with machinery, plant maintenance, and continuous improvement.
Problem-solving skills
-- ability to quickly address production issues and implement practical solutions.
Communication and coordination
-- able to liaise effectively with commercial, engineering, and operational teams.
Material and inventory management
-- ensuring timely availability of materials and efficient stock control.
IT proficiency
-- comfortable using production software, scheduling tools, and basic office applications.
