An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Production Manager to join our established team at Tedd Engineering. The Production Manager will be responsible for the end-to-end oversight of manufacturing operations at the Northern Ireland facility, covering production, procurement, quality assurance, health and safety, and team performance and productivity.
Responsibilities
Full control of the DC Production & AC Production Areas
Managing and coordinating all aspects of the production process.
Monitor and maintain production quality to meet or exceed established standards.
Plan and organise weekly production schedules, adapting as needed to meet deadlines and operational demands.
Collaborate with management teams across sites to ensure timely shipments and alignment with delivery schedules
Collaborate with engineering teams to ensure accurate and up-to-date production drawings, schematics, and Bills of Materials (BOMs)
Champion a safe working environment by ensuring adherence to health and safety regulations and best practices.
Coordinate and facilitate targeted training sessions to address key skills and development needs
Lead and evaluate the performance of production teams, providing guidance and support to foster continuous improvement
Oversee and manage holiday requests for production employees, ensuring adequate staffing and smooth operational continuity
Coordinate and manage logistics for box and pallet collections, including carriers such as FedEx, DHL, DPD, and Liam Connolly.
Oversee the procurement of raw materials for AC Bills of Materials (BOMs) and manage inventory to ensure supply chain efficiency.
Coordinate with management on maintenance activities and the procurement of necessary equipment.
Collaborate with management to assess and determine the required resources, including workforce and raw materials
Coordinate AC site fitment schedules with customers, ensuring timely and efficient installation.
Record parts lists for stock adjustments, maintaining precise and up-to-date inventory data.
Active involvement in stocktaking processes to ensure inventory accuracy and integrity.
Requirements
Demonstrated ability to lead and motivate teams in a fast-paced manufacturing setting.
Skilled in fostering respectful, inclusive, and productive working relationships across all levels..
Practical experience applying lean manufacturing principles in a production environment.
Proven ability to lead, develop, and empower high-performing teams.
Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to tailor messaging for different audiences and purposes.
Strong understanding of Health & Safety programs, with the ability to implement and ensure compliance.
