We are looking for an experienced Production Supervisor with a background in an FMCG/Food/Production. You will be responsible for overseeing and directing production activities in a manufacturing facility, ensuring that production targets are met, workflows are streamlined, and quality standards are maintained.

The Production Supervisor will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of a small team of piece-rate operatives, as well as managing off-site subcontracted piece rate work. This role ensures that all manufacturing processes are carried out smoothly, efficiently, and in compliance with safety and quality standards. Key responsibilities include supervising personnel, maintaining workflow efficiency, meeting production targets, and ensuring equipment is operating effectively.
The Supervisor will also be accountable for maintaining accurate production records and generating timely reports to track performance, highlight inefficiencies, and drive continuous improvement across both in-house and outsourced operations.
Key Responsibilities
:
Re-balancing production to meets demand
Quality checking by operator production batch reference
Proactively alerting management to amend fabric production plans
Liaison with our UK fabric centre to audit fabric production to supply product centres in the UK and Sri Lanka
Ensure production schedules are met with a focus on quality, safety, and efficiency
Monitor workflow, provide feedback to employees, and adjust as needed to meet goals
Train and evaluate staff, including onboarding new employees and enforcing performance standards
Maintain a clean and organized work environment in compliance with company policies and safety regulations
Identify and troubleshoot issues in the production process, escalating major concerns as needed
Collaborate with engineering, maintenance, and quality assurance teams to optimize operations
Prepare and maintain reports on production metrics, downtime, and employee performance
Enforce compliance with health and safety, and environmental regulations
Person Specification:
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to change
Good dexterity and eyesight with/without glasses as detailed inspection work required
Computer literate (MS Office)
Strong written and/communication skills
Numerically literate with strong analytical skills
Comfortable working with KPI's, metrics, and performance data
Detail-oriented in maintaining daily, weekly, and monthly production reports
Work Environment:
Physical presence required on the production floor
Exposure to high-speed machinery
Hours:
Working 42.5 hours per week, 8am - 5pm Monday - Friday
