Production Supervisor
to oversee our
Paint
and
Final Assembly
departments.
This is a hands-on supervisory role suited to someone with strong joinery knowledge and excellent organisational skills.
Role Overview
You will be responsible for ensuring all products move through the paint and assembly stages
efficiently, on schedule, and to a high-quality standard
. You'll supervise a small team, maintain workflow, identify bottlenecks, and communicate daily with management.
This role is ideal for someone with joinery experience who enjoys leading a team and improving workshop processes.
Key Responsibilities
Production & Workflow Management
Oversee day-to-day operations in the paint and final assembly departments
Ensure work is completed
as efficiently as possible without compromising quality
Monitor progress on all jobs and ensure deadlines are met
Coordinate workflow between machining, paint, and assembly teams
Identify delays, issues, or shortages and take action to resolve them
Quality Control
Maintain high standards of finish, accuracy, and consistency
Ensure windows, doors, and frames are assembled, glazed, and ironmongery-fitted correctly
Leadership & Communication
Conduct
daily progress meetings
with management
Report any issues affecting timelines or quality
Support and mentor team members
Process Development
Develop, update, and implement
Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs)
Identify opportunities to improve efficiency, safety, and quality
Help maintain a clean, organised, and safe working environment
Experience & Skills Required
Experience in
bench joinery
,
glazing
, and
fitting ironmongery
Strong understanding of timber windows and doors manufacturing
Leadership or supervisory experience
Ability to plan, organise, and manage multiple jobs at once
High attention to detail and commitment to quality
Strong communication and problem-solving skills
Hands-on, practical approach
