Northern Neon Lights is a well-established UK manufacturer with over 50 year's experience helping companies develop their ideas into working solutions. All product produced in house over our extensive manufacturing facilities based near Blackpool.

We looking to recruit a reliable and motivated Welding Operative to join our team and work on our manual welding fabrication line, for bulk production and one off prototypes. The role is ideal for someone with previous welding experience in a fabrication or production environment, who has a strong work ethic and takes pride delivering high quality results

This is a hands on role working to high standards of quality, safety and efficiency

Key Responsibilities:

As a Welding Operative you would need to be competent in the welding of MIG/TIG in mild steel and stainless steel, prepare parts for welding, including weld prep and assembly. Maintain a clean and organised work area, including clean tools and equipment. Monitor and maintain supplies such as welding wire, gas, consumables, and other necessary items. Ensure adherence to safety protocols and use of personal protective equipment (PPE). Help in inspecting welded parts for quality and assist in reworking any defective items. Perform general labouring tasks as needed to support production operations.

Qualifications:

Previous experience in welding or metal fabrication would be necessary. Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions. As a Welding Operator a good physical stamina is required, as the role involves standing, lifting, and moving parts throughout the day. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines. Team player with strong communication skills. Willingness to learn and take on new responsibilities. A Driving licence would be preferable.
