About the role

We're looking for an experienced Project Manager to help us safely grow the business and increase turnover by up to 1 million next year. You'll take ownership of planning, organising and delivering roofing, building and internal fabric projects across schools, public sector buildings and commercial sites.

This is a hands-on role in a small, friendly team where reliability, clear communication and getting things right first time really matter.

Who we are

Michael Wilson & Son have been carrying out reliable roofing and building work across West Yorkshire since 1979. We look after schools, colleges, local authorities and commercial buildings, delivering:

Reactive roofing repairs Planned internal fabric works External building and groundworks Some larger roofing projects up to 100k Drone surveys (fully insured, qualified operators)

Key Responsibilities

Manage multiple projects from enquiry through to completion. Survey sites and scope works accurately (roofing, internal fabric and small builds). Prepare clear programmes of work. Plan labour, materials and subcontractors to keep jobs running smoothly. Oversee health & safety on all sites - RAMS, inductions, permits and safe working. Maintain strong relationships with clients, especially schools and public sector teams. Keep communication tight - updates, risks, delays, variations and handovers. Ensure quality workmanship and tidy, safe sites. Use our drone team where required to improve surveys and reporting. Support business growth by improving processes, winning more work and spotting opportunities.

What we expect from you

Solid project management experience in construction, roofing or building maintenance. Strong attention to detail - accurate pricing, planning and paperwork. Good understanding of health & safety requirements. Confident dealing with schools, estates teams and public sector clients. Able to plan ahead, juggle priorities and keep jobs moving. A calm, practical attitude - you sort problems, not create them. Full UK driving licence. Competent with basic IT (email, spreadsheets, job management systems).

Pay: 37,500.00-43,500.00 per year
