Young Bros Civil Engineering is a well-established, family-run civil engineering company based in Pembrokeshire. We have over 100 years of civil engineering and construction experience, delivering multi-million pound infrastructure schemes, primarily within the water industry. We currently employ over 50 members of staff to assist with the delivery of our civil engineering projects.
An exciting opportunity has opened at Young Bros for a
Project Manager.
This is a superb opportunity for an organised and proactive person to join our growing team.
The Role
The successful candidate will work from our head office in Llandissilio, Pembrokeshire and our sites across south-west Wales. The candidate will be an influential member of our project delivery team. Typical responsibilities will include:
Working collaboratively with our Clients to ensure the safe, timely and high-quality delivery of our projects.
Develop and maintain project programmes, complying with NEC ECC requirements.
Liaise with senior leaders to plan and coordinate the efficient utilisation of company resources.
Oversee the procurement and performance of specialist sub-contractors.
Work with our commercial team to ensure the timely submission of Applications for Payment, Early Warning Notifications and Compensation Events.
Negotiate and agree quotations for additional work.
Essential Attributes, Qualifications & Skills
The successful candidate will require the following attributes and skill set:
Prior experience in a project management role within the civils / utility sector.
Demonstrate strong collaborative working behaviours.
Excellent IT skills, particularly the use of Microsoft Excel, Project and Word.
Strong planning and organisational skills, self-motivated.
Well spoken, with good use and presentation of the English language.
Punctual, with excellent time management.
Ability to work as part of a team.
Full UK driving licence.
