We have a fantastic opportunity for an experience Project Manager to join our defence team.


You'll lead and deliver multiple projects within the defence sector. You'll work closely with clients and technical teams to ensure projects are delivered on time, within scope, and to the highest standards.

Key Responsibilities:

Lead and manage the successful delivery of a number of complex projects across various MTC technology themes for major MTC clients. Capture and translate customer requirements into actionable project plans. Liaise with resource owners / team leaders to ensure effective use of resources in delivering project quality, cost & delivery within project scope Manage any changes to project scope via the recognised "Change Request" process. Define, measure and report regular updates of project performance to the client, senior management and key stakeholders. .Act as champion for project management processes, tools & techniques and contribute to continuous improvement activities

Who we're looking For

We're looking for a Project Manager who can demonstrate experience ofdelivering complex projects in an engineering or professional services environment.



You'll also

Have strong knowledge of project management processes and tools (APM competencies, PMP, PMO). Be skilled in MS Office and MS Project. Have excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills. Be analytical, results-driven, and calm under pressure.

Desirable:

Current or previous UK security clearance. APM qualification (or willingness to achieve). Experience with NEC4 ECC contract environment. Commercial awareness and financial management skills.

The Manufacturing Technology Centre (MTC) was established in 2010 as an independent Research & Technology Organisation (RTO) with the objective of bridging the gap between academia and industry - often referred to as 'the valley of death'.


It represents one of the largest public sector investments in UK manufacturing and, after four years of planning and a 16 month build, the facility opened at Ansty Park in Coventry at the end of 2011.


In December 2011, there were 16 industrial members, 44 staff and just a few key pieces of equipment in the 'workshop'.


Over the following seven years the MTC's rapid growth has seen the expansion of our campus with the construction of three more facilities, including the opening of the Advanced Manufacturing Training Centre and the National Centre for Additive Manufacturing.


Our role has also increased to cover not only R&D but also Training, Advanced Manufacturing Management and Factory Design.


We now have over 700 talented employees working with us.


During this time we have helped hundreds of companies across a range of industries and over 100 of them have become members of the MTC.
