The Society of St James (SSJ) has been working in Hampshire for over 50 years, delivering high impact, person-centred, accommodation services to adults and young people experiencing homelessness, problematic substance use and mental health problems. The Impact You'll Make
This is a high-impact management role, overseeing a key service provision on behalf of our local partner,
Rushmoor Borough Council
.
You will be responsible for the effective and high-quality management of staff and the entire operation across the
Rushmoor area
, including:
A
small, intensive hostel
and its associated
move-on housing
.
Temporary housing provision
under Section 188 housing requirements.
Your expertise will ensure seamless operations through
professional liaison
with a wide range of partners, including: partner agencies, SSJ finance and maintenance teams, benefit agencies, contractors, and others from both within the Society and external organisations. You are essential to ensuring our clients get the housing and support they need.
Who We're Looking For
The ideal candidate is a
thoughtful and balanced leader
with an
innovative, person-centred approach
to all aspects of client work. You will have good experience in managing staff and services, including:
Proven knowledge of
IT and case management systems
.
Understanding of
Health & Safety requirements
.
Expertise in the provision of
support services, housing, and security services
, including the relevant
legislation
, ideally within the
homelessness sector
.
A strong, balanced approach to
risk management
.
