We are looking for a highly organised and driven Project Manager to join our growing construction team. Key Responsibilities
Project Planning & Coordination:
Lead the planning and delivery of construction projects, ensuring works are programmed, resourced, and managed efficiently from start to finish.
Stakeholder Management:
Act as the key point of contact for clients, consultants, and subcontractors. Build and maintain strong working relationships to ensure smooth project delivery.
Team Leadership:
Manage site managers and subcontractors, providing guidance, support, and oversight to maintain high performance and morale on-site.
Health, Safety & Quality:
Ensure all projects meet or exceed health and safety standards. Work closely with the Health & Safety Manager to maintain compliance and a culture of safety across all sites.
Cost & Budget Control:
Monitor project budgets, control costs, and manage variations. Work closely with internal teams to ensure financial targets are met.
Progress Reporting
: Provide regular updates to senior management, highlighting key milestones, risks, and opportunities throughout the project lifecycle.
Risk Management:
Identify potential project risks and implement appropriate mitigation strategies to minimise delays and cost overruns.
Documentation & Compliance:
Oversee the preparation and maintenance of all project documentation, ensuring compliance with contract, legal, and company standards.
Continuous Improvement:
Promote innovation and efficiency in construction methods, workflows, and communication across projects.
Business Development Support:
Collaborate with the pre-construction and estimating teams where required, providing technical input on tenders and supporting the company's growth strategy.
Skills and Experience
Proven experience as a Project Manager within the construction industry, ideally with experience delivering commercial or residential projects ranging from 100K-3M+.
Strong understanding of construction methods, contract management, procurement processes, and site delivery requirements.
Demonstrable experience in leading teams, coordinating multiple subcontractors, and driving performance across all phases of the construction process.
Familiarity with industry standards, building regulations, and CDM requirements.
Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with colleagues, clients, and stakeholders at all levels.
Sound commercial awareness with the ability to monitor budgets, manage variations, and contribute to value engineering decisions.
Competent in project management software and MS Office applications, with the ability to produce detailed programmes, reports, and presentations.
Strong organisational and time-management skills, with the ability to prioritise competing demands in a fast-paced environment.
A proactive, solution-focused mindset with a desire to drive projects forward efficiently and to the highest standard.
Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel to sites across the North of England.
