Our Opening and Your Responsibilities
We are looking for a highly organised and customer-focused Project Manager to join our MT-UK Product Inspection team. This role is responsible for managing customer orders from initial quotation through to final commissioning of product inspection equipment, ensuring a seamless and high-quality customer experience across the entire project lifecycle.
You will act as the project champion for non-standard and bespoke orders, supporting the sales team and leading the coordination of complex projects across multiple business units.
Working closely with internal stakeholders, field sales teams, SBUs, and customers, you will help deliver tailored inspection solutions that meet operational needs, technical requirements, and regulatory standards.
This is a hands-on, customer-facing role that combines technical understanding, project leadership, and strong communication skills.
Key Responsibilities
Pre-Sales & Quotation (Before Order)
Support Sales with site surveys and technical input for non-standard projects
Gather and define customer requirements, including URS reviews
Coordinate product testing, RFQs, OLCs, and quotation support
Issue drawings and documentation as required
Maintain proactive customer communication throughout the quotation stage
Act as project champion for bespoke opportunities
Project Delivery (Post Order)
Lead project kick-off and ongoing review meetings
Manage non-standard projects from order through commissioning
Issue GA drawings and manage approvals
Coordinate delivery schedules, FATs, and pre-commissioning activities
Support installation, commissioning, and final customer handover
Ensure a high-quality customer experience throughout delivery
What You Need to Succeed
Degree-qualified engineer
Experience in product inspection and electro-mechanical design desirable
Skilled in product validation, robust design, and systems engineering
Strong ability to define clear customer requirements
Excellent communication and commercial awareness
Proficient in design software such as AutoCAD and Inventor
Familiar with project methodologies, quality systems, Six Sigma, and Lean (advantageous)
Motivated, detail-oriented, and able to work under pressure
Strong problem-solving and organisational skills
