Project Manager - Conventional Island (Electrical)

Location:

London or Bristol or Suffolk (Hybrid working - minimum 3 days on in the office) with frequent travel required

Salary:

Circa 78,949 + bonus +excellent benefits including up to 5% bonus, contributory pension employee up to 7.5% employer up to 15%, 28 days annual leave + bank holidays, opportunity to buy and sell holiday, benefits portal with optional purchases such as private healthcare, dental cover, critical illness, electric car schemes, etc.

Why Join as a Project Manager - Conventional Island (Electrical)?

This is a unique opportunity to lead the delivery of high value electrical engineering contracts within the Conventional Island (CI) scope of the Sizewell C project. You'll be at the heart of a regulated, complex infrastructure programme, managing the full lifecycle of electrical projects from design through to commissioning.


You'll work alongside a multidisciplinary team including various stakeholders in a role that offers autonomy, flexibility, and the chance to influence one of the UK's most significant energy developments.

What You'll Be Doing

Overseeing engineering contracts up to 100m within the CI/BOP programme Driving delivery of high-voltage electrical systems and infrastructure Managing internal and external interfaces to ensure coordinated project execution Leading procurement and contract preparation for post-FID phases Implementing site-specific design changes and ensuring robust pricing Engaging with stakeholders, suppliers, and senior leadership

What We're Looking For

Essential

5+ years of project management experience in electrical engineering Previous major project experience Background in high voltage distribution, transmission, or building services Experience in regulated industries (e.g. oil & gas, MOD, energy, airports) Strong stakeholder engagement and communication skills

Desirable

Degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent Nuclear industry experience Chartered Engineer status Experience with procurement and contract management in large scale projects
