Project Manager - Commercial to Residential Conversion

55,000 - 65,000 DOE

We're working with a well-established main contractor with a strong reputation for delivering high-quality construction and refurbishment projects across the South East. They are currently seeking an experienced Project Manager to lead an exciting commercial-to-residential conversion project in London, transforming an existing commercial property into a collection of modern apartments.

The Role:

As Project Manager, you'll take full responsibility for the successful delivery of the development from pre-construction through to handover. You'll manage all site activities, oversee subcontractors, ensure programme delivery, and maintain strong communication with both internal teams and the client.

Key Responsibilities:

Lead and coordinate all aspects of the project lifecycle Manage site teams and subcontractors to ensure safe, efficient delivery Oversee programme, budget, and quality control Liaise with design teams, consultants, and local authorities Maintain strong client relationships and provide regular progress updates Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental standards

Requirements:

Proven experience as a Project Manager within the construction industry Background in refurbishment or conversion projects, ideally commercial-to-residential / refurbishments. Strong technical understanding of building processes and regulations Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills Ability to manage budgets, programmes, and client expectations SMSTS, CSCS, and First Aid certifications preferred
