Floating Pontoon Hire is a long-established and growing supplier of modular floating pontoons for commercial, construction and event projects. Based in Lymington, Hampshire, we deliver practical, high-quality marine solutions for customers across the UK, working on a wide range of interesting and varied projects nationwide.
The Role
We are recruiting a
Project Manager
to help run and grow the business. This is a hands-on, customer-facing role managing projects from initial enquiry through to delivery. You'll work closely with clients to understand requirements, develop suitable pontoon solutions and coordinate planning and logistics with our operations team.
The role is primarily office-based, with regular travel to sites and client meetings across the UK.
Key Responsibilities
Manage customer enquiries from first contact through to completion
Identify new opportunities and support business development activity
Build strong relationships with clients and stakeholders
Assess project requirements and develop practical pontoon solutions
Undertake site visits to support planning, safety and delivery
Coordinate with the operations team to schedule, plan and deliver projects smoothly
Maintain clear project documentation and communication throughout delivery
Support continuous improvement in processes, customer experience and project outcomes
About You
Organised, proactive and able to manage multiple projects and priorities
Confident communicator with a professional approach to customer service
Commercially aware, with a solutions-focused mindset
Comfortable working in a varied role combining office work with site-based activity
Able to take ownership, work independently and contribute to the wider running of the business
Essential Requirements
Full UK driving licence
Willingness to travel around the UK as required
Desirable (but not essential)
Experience in marine, construction, hire, logistics or project-based environments
Understanding of site work, project planning and coordinating operational delivery
