Job Summary




Reporting to the Head of Projects in Guernsey, the Project Manager will be responsible for delivering individual projects within the Group's Programme Management Office (PMO). The role will focus on ensuring project objectives are met on time, within budget, and to the expected quality standards. The successful candidate will work closely with internal stakeholders and team members to drive project outcomes and ensure alignment with organisational goals.


The successful candidate will leverage their strong digital skills to optimise project processes, enhance collaboration, and utilise data-driven insights for decision-making. They will proactively engage with internal stakeholders at all levels to ensure projects deliver high-quality outcomes within scope, on time, and within budget. The postholder will be a proactive team member, able to work independently and collaborate with a broad range of internal stakeholders in both an in person and virtual environment, to ensure high quality services and outcomes are achieved.

Job accountabilities




To act as the Project Manager on a range of projects,

End-to-end management of individual projects, ensuring alignment with the Group's transformation agenda. Utilise digital tools and platforms to develop and maintain project plans, timelines, budgets, and dashboards, ensuring consistent delivery of objectives. Identify, assess, and manage project risks, escalating critical issues to the Head of Projects or appropriate governance forums. Prepare reports and presentations on project progress for senior leadership and stakeholders. Build and sustain effective relationships with key stakeholders across departments to ensure project success. Promote a culture of continuous improvement and knowledge sharing within the organisation, particularly in the use of digital tools to streamline project delivery. Champion the use of collaborative digital platforms to improve stakeholder engagement and communication.

Minimum education and experience



Educated to 'A' Level standard, or equivalent A minimum of five years' relevant experience Knowledge of project management methodologies, such as Agile, Waterfall, or hybrid approaches Experience of running and delivering successful projects

Preferable but not essential



Attainment of a relevant professional qualification or strong experiential understanding of agile and hybrid methodologies.

Required skills



Strong organisational skills and attention to detail. Excellent written and verbal communication abilities. Demonstrated expertise in managing projects independently and collaboratively. Proficiency in digital platforms to optimise project workflows, reporting, and stakeholder engagement. Strong critical analysis and problem-solving capabilities to anticipate and resolve project challenges. Effective business presentation skills and the ability to produce high-quality project documentation and reports. Strong negotiation skills to align stakeholder expectations and resolve conflicts. Ability to work independently, meet tight deadlines, and manage competing priorities effectively.
