Who we are looking for:




We are seeking to appoint an

experienced and technically proficient Project Manager

to lead complex projects in

space payload development, defence technology programmes, and satellite communications.




The role requires someone with

drive, ownership, authority and credibility

; a natural leader who can influence stakeholders, motivate and inspire teams, and deliver projects to the required technical and quality standards within the agreed financial parameters.


The Project Manager will manage projects across their full lifecycle, ensuring compliance with customer and industry requirements in the

highly regulated space and defence environments.



Requirements



Key Responsibilities



Lead the end-to-end lifecycle of complex projects in space payload and defence systems. Be the focal point for project performance, both internally and externally. Ensure delivery to scope, schedule, budget and quality requirements.

Stakeholder Management



Act as the primary point of contact for customers, partners and internal stakeholders. Prepare and present project updates, reviews and reports to senior leadership and customers.

Financial Performance



Manage project budgets, forecasts and cost tracking. Ensure projects meet financial objectives and that forecasts are accurate and timely.

Planning & Execution



Develop detailed project plans, schedules, budgets and risk assessments. Track progress against project milestones and implement corrective actions as required.

Team Leadership



Lead and coordinate cross functional teams across RF, mechanical, filter, software, supply chain, manufacturing and quality assurance disciplines. Develop a mindset of ownership, collaboration and accountability across all functions.

Risk Management



Identify, assess and mitigate technical and programmatic risks. Maintain and execute active risk management plans and processes.

Business Development & Bids



Support the Business Development and Bid Management teams in preparing proposals and customer specific opportunities. Actively drive customer-focused solutions and contribute to the technical and commercial success of bids.

Who we're looking for:



Essential



Proven success delivering highly complex, time-critical engineering projects in

space, defence or satellite communications

sectors. Strong

engineering background

or experience managing multi-disciplinary technical teams in regulated environments. Proven experience delivering

RF-based systems

e.g. satellite communications, radar, payload RF chains or EW systems. Excellent communication, influencing, leadership and problem-solving skills. Proficient using project management tools such as

MS Project, Primavera

and

Jira.

Knowledge of project management methodologies (Agile, Waterfall,

PRINCE2

or

APMP

). Strong stakeholder management ability across all level of business. Eligible for UK

Security Clearance (SC).

High level of experience in project or engineering management within relevant sectors.

Desirable



Career experience within Project Engineering Lead role(s). Familiarity with

Space Payload Qualification

and

Defence Qualification

requirements. Background in RF, microwave or electronics design and manufacturing.
