The Project Manager will be responsible for the overall direction, management, Implementation, monitoring and control of schedule, cost and quality of specific projects in line with company strategy, policy & procedures and constraints to facilitate business success.
Objectives of the role as a Project Manager, include, but not limited to:
Facilitate the definition of project scope, goals and deliverables
Lead the planning of projects to establish a baseline effort, schedule, resource requirements and budget
Ensure due diligence on the solution and implementation plan to minimise changes during delivery
Assemble, coordinate, provide direction and support to project team
Manage Project Budget
Track project deliverables, remaining work to complete & time allocation using approved tools
Create and maintain project SharePoint site
Manage project scope and changes as needed to deliver the project.
Constantly report on progress of the project to all stakeholders including the project steering group
Quality assurance
Proactively identify project risks with actions to mitigate
Run project meetings (internal and external) with minutes and actions updated into the plan
Escalate issues so they don't adversely affect delivery.
General administrative duties related to project management and continuous improvement initiatives
Lead Lessons Learned Process post project and ensure learnings fed back into processes and policies
Continuous Improvement of Project Team Processes
Proven experience of managing projects with internal project teams of at least 10 FTEs with multiple suppliers and across multiple sites.
Proven experience of managing multiple simultaneous projects
Proven Budgetary/cost management experience
Preferable experience in Logistics operations working on improvement projects
Preferable operational experience in 3PL multi-user Depots
Preferable experience of Warehouse Management, Transportation Management and other solutions commonly deployed by 3rd party logistics operators
Knowledge
Knowledge of both theoretical and practical aspects of project management techniques and tools
Knowledge of modern office procedure and methods
Preferable Knowledge of Kaizen/TQM
Preferable Broad Knowledge of IT solutions

Advanced PC Literacy - use of all Microsoft office applications in particular MS Project, Teams and SharePoint
