The project manager has the overall responsibility for the successful initiation, planning, design, execution, monitoring, controlling and closure of commercial projects. Develop their product technical capabilities, certifications (fire, security etc) and commercial door applications. Provide the sales department with technical support on current projects and new tenders, ensuring that all quality standards are followed, and technical specifications can be met.
The post holder will be directly interacting with customers and clients, often as the sole point of contact. The post holder will demonstrate high levels of professionalism at all times, covering but not limited to appearance, written and verbal communications and speed of response to queries and requests as out lined in Scopes of Works within contracts they have responsibility for.
Key Accountabilities
? Management of entire projects using defined gated process.
? Planning Project Resources to ensure that the project goals can be met within the required timescale.
? Developing detailed project plans to guide clients, staff and install teams and revising based on changing needs and requirements.
? Time Management, ensuring all project deliverables are met in accordance with the agreed time scales. Management of project programme.
? Looking at the risks involved in a particular project and managing them.
? To ensure the project is delivered on budget, management of project purchases and subcontract resources.
? Quality and Satisfaction, ensuring that the project is delivered in accordance with the Architectural Specification and to the correct standard.
? Maintain a good communication with the client and provide regular project KPI's.
? Change Management, ensuring that all change is captured and variations to the product meet with specification and Teckentrup's certification.
? Analyse project status and, when necessary, revise the scope, schedule, or budget to ensure that project requirements can be met.
? Ensure that all technical information is fed through to TTGmbh in an effective manor and all requirements are understood by TTUK.
? Establish and maintain relationships with relevant client stakeholders, providing day-to-day contact on project status and changes.
Escalating any project concerns with senior management.
Dimensions of Role

? Leading Project admin Team, planning what works needs to be done, when and who is going to do it including setting key task and duties.
? Day to day management of the project(s), including out of standard hours escalation point of call where required, i.e., installation out of normal working hours.
? Liaise with ABC planning and installation teams to ensure effective preparation pre install dates.
? Manage Issues and Risk, identify any potential risk and plan to avoid or minimise.
? Monitoring Progress of all stages of the project, using the monthly programme and key progress indicators.
? Reporting and Documentation; reporting regularly to senior management and the project team, both internally and externally. Ensuring that all project documentation and assurances are completed precisely and on time.
? Engaging with Teckentrup GmbH advising key dates for the projects.
? Meeting with the estimating teams to understand the scope and range of products in projects being handed over and advise on solutions and risks.
? Where required, oversee the draughtsmen and working closely with other Project Managers and Sales Office.
? Handover and Commissioning, to ensure that the Site Manager follows all handover and final commissioning procedures.
? Expected to present a professional image at all times when representing the Company.
? You will be required to visit site as and when necessary.
? Expectation for some evening and weekend work and work related calls as required in the role.

? Expectation for some out of hours travel and overnight stays as required in the role.
? You will be expected to carry out any other duties that may reasonably be required in line with your main duties.
Desirable Qualifications
Ironmongery applications
Fire & Security standards and approvals.
Steel door construction and application would be an advantage.
Or - experience working in other regulated industries.
Construction Skills to CITB or equivalent
CSCS card holder
Full Driver's Licence
PTS and other Safety Critical Certification
Experience
? 2+ years industry experience unless 'trainee or assistant' classification.
? Experience with 3rd party certification, Fire, Security, Acoustic
? External cladding / wall / window systems ideal.
? Manufacturing knowledge.
Problem solving skills.
