Role Overview
We are looking for a dynamic and proactive Project Manager to lead and oversee a variety of bespoke environmental projects. This role requires a strong operational mindset, excellent logistical and client management skills, and the ability to lead teams effectively.
Key Responsibilities
Manage projects from inception to completion
Develop and adjust project plans, timelines, and budgets in line with client priorities
Coordinate internal teams, subcontractors, suppliers, and specialists
Monitor project performance to ensure timely delivery within scope and budget
Communicate clearly with clients to manage expectations and resolve queries
Ensure compliance with environmental regulations and company standards
Recruit and manage on-site staff
Candidate Requirements
Proven project management experience
Strong interpersonal and communication skills
Excellent organisational and problem-solving abilities
Ability to manage multiple short-term projects simultaneously
Commercial awareness and business acumen
Proficient IT skills
Solid understanding of health and safety regulations
Ability to read technical drawings and specifications
Competence in using and maintaining tools and plant equipment
Valid UK driving licence and willingness to travel and stay away when required
Core DutiesProject Planning & Execution
Develop comprehensive project plans with clear deliverables, timelines, budgets, and success metrics
Prioritise rapid-response and seasonal projects with agility
Team & Resource Coordination
Manage internal staff, subcontractors, and technical specialists
Oversee scheduling, logistics, and procurement of equipment and materials
Coordinate workforce deployment across multiple active sites
Client Relations & Communication
Act as the primary point of contact for clients throughout project delivery
Maintain strong communication to manage expectations and resolve issues
Handle disputes diplomatically, maintaining the company's reputation
Business Development
Identify upselling opportunities within active contracts
Support fast-turnaround projects that generate immediate revenue
Plan projects to optimise invoicing schedules
Compliance & Quality Assurance
Ensure adherence to environmental regulations, safety protocols, and company standards
Conduct site inspections and internal audits aligned with ISO requirements
Maintain accurate documentation for regulatory and client reporting
Strategic Development
Provide insights into new service offerings and operational improvements
Identify emerging client needs and regional challenges
Collaborate with the Managing Director to refine pricing models and service packages based on project feedback
