We are seeking an experienced and highly organised Project Manager to oversee our Complex Manhole contract. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, excellent communication abilities, and a proven track record in managing complex projects within the industry. This role involves coordinating teams, managing resources, and ensuring project objectives are achieved on time, within scope, and within budget. The successful applicant will play a pivotal role in driving project success through effective planning, execution, and stakeholder engagement.
Responsibilities
The contract involves the demolish of existing Manholes and replacements consisting of general civils, deep excavation, & in situ reinforced concrete works across the South of England.
The works are completed by 5-6 experienced teams and we are looking for someone to manage the day-to-day running of the works.
Duties
Lead and supervise project teams to ensure deliverables meet quality standards and deadlines.
Develop comprehensive project plans outlining scope, milestones, timelines, and resource allocation.
Planning works, ordering plant & materials and managing construction.
Conduct root cause analysis to identify issues early and implement corrective actions proactively.
Gather and analyse requirements from stakeholders to define project scope and objectives accurately.
Facilitate communication among team members, clients, and other stakeholders to ensure alignment throughout the project.
Qualifications & Experience
Temporary works coordinator ticket is desirable
HNC construction/civil engineering is desirable
Proven supervising/managing experience in a civils team.
Demonstrated team management capabilities with a focus on motivating diverse groups towards common goals.
Excellent organisational skills with the ability to prioritise tasks effectively under tight deadlines.
Strong leadership qualities complemented by excellent communication skills--both written and verbal.
Location
The role is predominately office based with occasional site visits.
