Position Overview:
We are seeking an experienced Project Manager to oversee the end-to-end management of multiple construction projects, particularly within the rail industry. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in writing Risk Assessments and Method Statements (RAMS), creating Gantt charts, developing Construction Phase Plans (CPP), and managing projects from initiation to completion.
Key Responsibilities:
Project Planning and Scheduling:
Develop comprehensive project plans, including detailed Gantt charts, to ensure timely and efficient project execution.
Risk Management:
Prepare and maintain thorough Risk Assessments and Method Statements (RAMS) to identify and mitigate potential project risks.
Construction Phase Planning:
Develop and implement Construction Phase Plans (CPP) in compliance with industry standards and regulations.
Project Execution:
Oversee all phases of project execution, ensuring adherence to project specifications, budgets, and timelines.
Stakeholder Management:
Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, contractors, and other stakeholders, ensuring clear communication and alignment of project objectives.
Resource Management:
Allocate and manage resources effectively across multiple projects to optimize performance and outcomes.
Compliance and Safety:
Ensure all projects comply with relevant health and safety regulations, particularly within the rail sector.
Qualifications:
Education:
Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field preferable or substantial experience.
Experience:
Minimum of 2 years of project management experience in the construction industry, with a focus on rail projects.
Skills:
Proficiency in writing RAMS from scratch and developing CPPs.
Expertise in creating and managing Gantt charts using project management software.
Strong understanding of construction and rail industry standards and regulations.
Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities.
Effective communication and leadership skills.
Certifications:
Project Management Professional (PMP) or equivalent certification is preferred.
