Qualifications:

Registered Nurse (level 1) Recognised teaching/assessing qualification or relevant teaching, presenting and facilitating experience (essential) Degree (desirable) Experience: At least 2 years experience at staff nurse level or equivalent Clinical audit and standard setting Working with a wide range of professionals including medical, nursing and management colleagues Presenting complex information to groups in an understandable way Understanding of project/change management methodologies Delivery of education and training Skills Proven clinical experience which includes managing change and competing workloads within clinical environments with experience of staff management, allocation and deployment Ability to communicate and deal sensitively with emotive and contentious issues Ability to teach and present formally to registered and unregistered staff Proficient written and verbal communication skills Ability to work independently with effective time management skills Work in partnership with clinical teams to deliver on medicines management agendas Leadership abilities - ability to motivate and enthuse staff Ability to establish credibility with a wide range of staff IT Skills - ability to use all MS office applications (Excel, PowerPoint) Project Management (desirable) Recruitment and selection (desirable) Knowledge: Understanding of basic medicines management processes and agendas Understanding current issues relating to LTHT Understanding national health care issues Clinical Benchmarking and performance Understanding change management process Personal Attributes: Professional and patient focused Flexible, adaptable, with the ability to use own initiative Excellent interpersonal skills Pro-active and enthusiastic Ability to negotiate Enthusiasm
