About us

This post will join an established team who support the work of Warrington Safeguarding Partnerships and Warrington Safeguarding Adults Board. The partnership team are responsible for supporting strategic partners to develop and implement multi agency safeguarding arrangements. This includes monitoring the performance of local agencies\' arrangements for safeguarding children and adults as set out in the Children Act 2004 and Care Act 2014. We also link to other working groups across Cheshire to ensure we work collaboratively to improve strategic safeguarding.

The role

To work collaboratively with other members of the team and with a wide range of partners both internal and multi-agency, to support the implementation of local strategic safeguarding priorities. To provide administration, project, communication, and other support to enhance the coordination and delivery of agreed actions. This will include the production of materials and resources, coordination of delivery plans, case reviews and the organisation of training.

The role will involve:

\xc2\xb7 Providing administrative support and co-ordination to specific projects including reporting on progress against strategic and other action plans.

\xc2\xb7 Assisting the Safeguarding Partnerships Team in developing and establishing project governance arrangements, project methodology, procedures and reporting for the identified projects.

\xc2\xb7 Providing support to the Safeguarding Partnerships Team Manager / Safeguarding Arrangements Managers to identify, monitor and manage project activities, resources and dependences.

\xc2\xb7 Providing support to the Safeguarding Partnerships Team Manager / Safeguarding Arrangements Managers to Identify and manage risks to ensure the successful delivery of tasks, actions, and projects.

\xc2\xb7 Assisting with resolving identified issues and barriers to delivery within the tasks, actions, and projects.

\xc2\xb7 Assisting in the development, co-ordination and the delivery of project and implementation plans across the multi-agency safeguarding arrangements, including organising and maintaining audit trails of the most recent version.

\xc2\xb7 Updating, maintaining and developing systems as necessary to ensure an efficient service and effective receipt, storage and retrieval of information. This will include maintaining an electronic data system and collating data, terms of reference, policies and other relevant documents.

\xc2\xb7 Maintaining, developing and co-ordinating effective information and communication processes across various stakeholders, agencies and service users in relation to the work of the multi-agency safeguarding arrangements. Supporting the production of publicity information in various media forms.

\xc2\xb7 Assisting the Safeguarding Partnerships Team Manager / Safeguarding Arrangements Managers with compiling reports, presentations, and information for the strategic Safeguarding Adults Board, the children\'s multi-agency arrangements and the constituent parts.

\xc2\xb7 Supporting the delivery of specific projects and events, this could include activities related to; production of publicity material, co-ordination of consultation or training events, maintaining the website, risk and action logs and maintaining individual project plans.

\xc2\xb7 Co-ordinating and attending meetings, taking detailed and accurate minutes to inform reports, project plans, risk and issues logs.

\xc2\xb7 Carrying out all duties with due regard to confidentiality and data protection regulations. This post will include an element of dealing with highly confidential information and using a high level of discretion.

What\'s needed?

\xc2\xb7 Experience of providing support to complex projects.

\xc2\xb7 Experience of communicating with a variety of levels within an organisation, both verbally and in writing.

\xc2\xb7 Experience of utilising effective information systems and analysing complex data.

\xc2\xb7 Experience of assisting with report preparation, collation of information and presentation to a variety of audiences.

\xc2\xb7 Ability to plan and organise own workload and manage conflicting priorities.

\xc2\xb7 Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to relate to all levels of staff within the organisation.

\xc2\xb7 Excellent advanced IT literacy skills.

\xc2\xb7 Ability to take detailed and accurate minutes.

\xc2\xb7 Understanding of safeguarding and the statutory responsibilities.

\xc2\xb7 Minimum level of educational attainment - 5 GCSE (or equivalent) passes to include Maths and English at grades A to C.

Working Hours

37 hours Full Time Monday to Friday.
