Overview

We are seeking a versatile and reliable All-Around Handyman for project-based work. The ideal candidate will be skilled in a variety of maintenance and repair tasks, demonstrating competence across multiple trades. As a Handyman, you will be responsible for carrying out a range of repairs, installations, and maintenance tasks in residential and commercial properties, ensuring high standards of workmanship and client satisfaction. While not a full-time role, consistent project opportunities will be available for the right candidate.

Duties

Perform a variety of general repairs and maintenance tasks, including plumbing, electrical, carpentry, and painting. Undertake basic plumbing tasks such as fixing leaks, replacing taps, and unblocking drains. Carry out basic electrical tasks such as replacing light fixtures, switches, and sockets (where qualified and certified). Perform basic carpentry work including fitting doors, assembling furniture, and repairing woodwork. Complete painting and decorating tasks to a high standard. Assist with property maintenance tasks as required. Ensure all work is completed to a high standard and in a timely manner. Communicate effectively with clients regarding the work being carried out. Maintain a clean and organised work environment and adhere to safety protocols. Assist in the handling of materials and equipment as needed on job sites.

Requirements

Proven experience as a Handyman or in a similar multi-trade role. Demonstrable skills in plumbing, electrical, carpentry, and general maintenance. Relevant certifications in any of the core trades (e.g., plumbing, electrical) are advantageous. Familiarity with using a variety of hand and power tools. Good problem-solving skills and the ability to diagnose and fix issues efficiently. Strong attention to detail and a commitment to quality workmanship. Good communication and interpersonal skills. A valid driver's licence is often required.
