We are looking for a reliable and proactive Property Maintenance Inspector & Compliance Officer to oversee the condition of our managed properties and ensure they meet all legal, safety, and compliance standards. The role involves carrying out inspections, identifying issues, coordinating maintenance, and ensuring full compliance with housing regulations.
Key Responsibilities
Carry out routine property inspections (quarterly, check-in, check-out, and mid-term).
Identify and report maintenance issues, safety hazards, and repair requirements.
Ensure properties comply with current UK housing and safety regulations (e.g., gas safety, electrical safety, smoke alarms, EPC, HMO standards).
Issue inspection reports to landlords, tenants, and contractors.
Follow up on outstanding maintenance work and ensure timely completion.
Coordinate with contractors and maintenance teams to arrange repairs.
Maintain accurate records, logs, and compliance documentation.
Support the lettings team with pre-tenancy compliance (certificates, inventories, remedial works).
Advise landlords on required improvements or compliance actions.
Respond to urgent maintenance issues when required.
Assist with day to day duties with the agency
Skills & Experience
Experience in property inspections, maintenance, or lettings preferred.
Strong understanding of UK property compliance requirements is a must.
Excellent attention to detail and reporting skills.
Ability to identify repair issues and understand basic building/maintenance terminology.
Good communication skills with tenants, landlords, and contractors.
Full UK driving licence
Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.

Salary & Hours
Full time (Monday 9am - Friday 5pm) alternative weekends on call
Competitive salary based on experience
