We are seeking a passionate and skilled pub Chef/Cook to join our growing team at the Kings Arms Hotel in Kirkby, Lonsdale. Responsibilities
Oversee daily kitchen operations, ensuring smooth food production and preparation processes.
Supervise kitchen staff, providing guidance and support to foster a collaborative team environment.
Develop and implement menus that reflect seasonal ingredients and customer preferences.
Ensure all food safety standards are adhered to, maintaining cleanliness and organisation within the kitchen.
Assist in training new kitchen staff on cooking techniques, food safety practices, and kitchen procedures.
Collaborate with front-of-house staff to ensure seamless service and guest satisfaction.
Monitor inventory levels of ingredients and supplies, placing orders as necessary to maintain stock.
Help create innovative dishes that enhance the dining experience while adhering to budgetary constraints.
Requirements
Proven experience as a Chef or in a similar culinary role within the hospitality industry desired but training will be provided.
Strong leadership skills with the ability to manage and motivate a team effectively.
In-depth knowledge of food production techniques, food safety regulations, and best practices in the kitchen.
Excellent organisational skills with attention to detail in food preparation and presentation.
Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment while maintaining high standards of quality.
Passion for cooking with creativity in developing new recipes and menus.
A commitment to providing exceptional hospitality experiences for guests.
