Job Summary


We have a lovely pub in the heart of surrey. We take great pride in our service and food quality. We have lots of great customer feedback and 5hygiene rating. We need someone to join our team. You must be reliable and a passion to succeed.
We are a friendly place to work with lots of friendly staff and customers. We love people to bring new ideas to the table and hope to encourage you to do so to.

We can offer live in on site if required for the the right candidate.

We are looking for someone to run the kitchen, provide new ideas and enable us to continue to offer a great experience to our customers.

We are currently looking at the kitchen only being open Thursday - Sunday with about 45 hours per week.

There may be occasional days that need parties covered.

The kitchen opening hours could change and we would then look for additional chefs.

You will probably be working alone to start with, we would then look at bringing in additional staff.

The start is immediate as were let down massively

Duties



Oversee daily kitchen operations, ensuring efficient food production and service. Prepare and cook a variety of dishes according to menu specifications. Supervise kitchen staff, providing guidance and support in food preparation and cooking techniques. Maintain high standards of food safety and hygiene in compliance with health regulations. Manage inventory, including ordering supplies and minimising waste. Collaborate with the restaurant management team to develop new menu items and seasonal offerings. Train new kitchen staff on cooking techniques, safety protocols, and restaurant policies. Ensure that all dishes are presented beautifully and served promptly.

Skills



Proven experience in a culinary role with strong kitchen experience. Supervising experience in a fast-paced restaurant environment is essential. Excellent food production skills with a focus on quality and presentation. Strong leadership abilities to effectively manage a diverse team. Comprehensive knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices. Ability to work collaboratively within a team while also demonstrating independence when required. Previous experience in hospitality or restaurant settings is highly desirable. Exceptional cooking skills with creativity in menu development. Strong organisational skills with the ability to multitask effectively under pressure.
