Job Opportunity: Pub Manager - Mid Norfolk

We're looking for a dedicated, experienced, and licensed individual to manage our independent Freehouse on behalf of, and liaising with, the owners. This is a rare and exciting opportunity to shape the future of a beloved establishment in the heart Norfolk.

About the Pub

Our pub, The Cock, is a true gem of the local community, known for its warm, welcoming atmosphere and focus on real and craft ales. As an independent Freehouse, we take pride in our freedom to curate an exceptional drinks selection. With a loyal customer base, it's a hub for community groups and live music lovers, hosting regular performances that span many genres.

Looking ahead, we have ambitious plans to develop our pub along with introducing a hot food offering to complement our current focus on quality drinks and a great soecial environment

What We're Looking For.

We're searching for a highly professional and passionate individual to oversee all aspects of day-to-day operations, including:

Bar management - Serving customers, stock control/ordering, and maintaining high standards throughout Sales & promotions - Developing and implementing strategies to attract new customers and boost revenue. Customer service - Enhancing our connections with regulars and growing our customer base. Ensuring a friendly, welcoming atmosphere and remaining professional at all times. Health & safety compliance - Keeping records, maintaining standards, and ensuring a safe environment for customers and staff. Bookkeeping and record-keeping - Managing budgets, tracking sales, and ensuring compliance with all licensing and regulatory requirements. Maintenance & cleaning - Overseeing the upkeep of the pub and keeping it in tip-top condition.
Ideal Candidate(s)

We're looking for someone who is:

Hardworking, professional and determined - Ready to help us take the pub to the next level. Highly organised and IT literate - Comfortable with modern technology and operational systems. Personable and professional - A people person who knows how to lead a small team and engage with customers. Experienced in the pub trade - Preferably already working in hospitality and eager for a fresh challenge. Committed to high standards - With a clean DBS. A non smoker/vaper who has no drug dependency issues now or in the past
