You'll work directly with the Communications Manager and collaborate with cross-functional teams and senior leaders in a fast-paced, supportive environment. This is more than a resume boosterxe2x80x94it's a launchpad for your career.
What Youll Do

  • Assist with crafting and distributing press materials (releases, media pitches, alerts) that drive real media attention.
  • Monitor media coverage and maintain key media lists and databases.
  • Support media outreach and placement opportunities with national and local journalists.
  • Brainstorm creative story angles and long-term PR strategies.
  • Assist with writing and editing social media content and executive communications, ensuring brand voice consistency.
  • Contribute to the development of case studies and testimonials from customers and utilize those testimonials and success stories for usage on external platforms.
  • Contribute to enhancing Daxkos brand presence on platforms like LinkedIn and Glassdoor.
  • Help draft internal communications and assist with company-wide announcements.
  • Support logistics and materials for PR events, trade shows, and leadership engagements.
  • Pitch in on strategic projects like a website content audit or intranet revamp.
  • Provide general support to the Communications Manager.
Qualifications
What You Bring
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Familiarity with LinkedIn, Instagram, and other social platforms
  • Creativity and attention to detail in content creation
  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
  • Experience with Canva or Adobe Creative Suite is a plus
  • Interest in the wellness or nonprofit space is a bonus
  • Ability to work up to 30 hours per week
Your Background
  • Currently pursuing a degree in Public Relations, Communications, Journalism, Marketing, or a related field
  • Internship or coursework experience in PR, communications, or social media preferred
  • Bonus points for familiarity with brand management, SEO basics, or SharePoint
Additional Information
The pay for this role is $18.00 per hour and interns will work approximately 20-30 hours/week.
