We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Public Sector Bid Coordinator to support the growth of our business within the public sector. This role involves identifying and tracking relevant bid and framework opportunities, coordinating tender submissions, maintaining compliance documentation, and supporting the development of strong relationships with public sector clients.
Key Responsibilities:
Proactively search for and track public sector tenders and framework opportunities through relevant portals and platforms.
Coordinate the end-to-end bid process, including managing deadlines, document formatting, and submission requirements.
Assist in the preparation of pre-qualification questionnaires (PQQs), tenders, and supporting documentation.
Write and edit bid content in collaboration with technical and commercial teams to ensure clear and persuasive submissions.
Maintain accurate records of all live and historical bids, including a library of reusable content.
Keep company certifications and registrations (e.g. CHAS, Constructionline, ISO) up to date and aligned with bid requirements.
Liaise with internal teams to gather necessary information for bid responses.
Support the development and maintenance of relationships with public sector procurement contacts and organisations.
Skills & Experience:
Experience coordinating bids or tenders, preferably within construction or a related industry.
Understanding of public sector procurement processes and frameworks.
Strong attention to detail, with excellent organisational and time management skills.
Clear and concise writing skills; able to tailor content for a variety of audiences.
Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously under tight deadlines.
Familiarity with tender portals such as Public Contracts Scotland
Confident using Microsoft Office and other relevant tools.
Preferred Qualifications:
Previous experience in a similar bid, business development, or administration role.
Knowledge of industry certifications and compliance requirements.
Training or qualifications in bid writing or tender management (e.g. APMP) are desirable but not essential.
