pire Renewables is a leading provider of renewable energy solutions, committed to delivering exceptional service and sustainable products to our clients. Based at Taff 's Well, Cardiff we are expanding our team and seek a proactive, detail-orientated Purchasing and Operations Coordinator to take ownership of our procurement, logistics, and e-commerce processes, driving efficiency and continuous improvement.
This is a key position within our operations team, responsible for managing purchasing, coordinating deliveries, liaising with clients and installers and ensuring smooth order fulfilment across multiple channels. We are looking for someone who will own the role, drive standards, and continuously improve processes.
Responsibilities:
Supplier & Stock Management
Accurately raise and manage purchase orders for all materials and equipment.
Build close working relationships with suppliers to ensure products are of high quality, confirm pricing, lead times and delivery schedules
Update and maintain our product catalogue across all systems and liaise with the appropriate departments
Assist with the selection of new suppliers to supply products based upon quality, cost and delivery
Liaise with the Technical team to ensure potential new products are designed well and meet specification and quality requirements

Assist with the set up in reports and analyses on spend, cost savings, cash conversion, contractual progress, and purchasing KPI performance

Monitor stock levels and coordinate replenishment to meet project timelines.
Maintain and update inventory records for purchased items
Assist with the forecast and monitor of stock value including review of any aged or obsolete stock
Assist with identification of solutions and sources from alternative suppliers when first choice suppliers cannot meet demand or quality requirements
Assist with the implementation of a new stock management system
Logistics & Delivery Coordination
Schedule and manage direct deliveries and pallet network shipments.
Ensure delivery details are accurate, and any site restrictions are identified early.
Liaising with clients and installers
Create and maintain delivery notes and packing lists for dispatch.
E-commerce & Order Fulfilment
Manage order fulfilment for Amazon and Shopify, ensuring a smooth process from order to delivery.
Raise invoices via the stock management system.
Track, confirm, and communicate deliveries with clients
Manage returns with aftersales.
Monitor customer satisfaction and flag any issues promptly.
Update product listings across systems (pricing, inventory, descriptions, datasheets) to ensure accuracy and compliance.
Project Support & Administration
Review confirmed sales orders against checklists to ensure accuracy and completeness.
Maintain up-to-date records in Smartsheet, new stock management system, Quickbooks and other systems.
Communicate delivery timelines to clients and confirm in writing.
Collaboration & Continuous Improvement
Work closely with Sales, Finance, and Technical teams to ensure seamless handovers.
Identify process gaps and propose improvements to enhance efficiency.
Take ownership of issues and resolve them proactively without escalation.
Skills
Proven experience (3 years +) in purchasing, supplier management and or logistics, ideally within construction, renewables, or a similar sector.
Experience with stock management systems, accountancy package and e-commerce platforms (Amazon, Shopify).
Proficient in inventory management
Highly organised and detail-orientated, with a track record of accuracy in order processing.
Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills with high attention to detail.
Excellent communication and negotiation abilities, capable of collaborating across teams, suppliers, with a professional approach to client and supplier interactions
A proactive problem-solver who takes initiative and drives tasks to completion.
Ability to work under pressure and to defined processes and are comfortable in working in a fast-paced environment with multiple priorities.
Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines effectively.
Strong IT skills, including Excel and order management systems.
Flexibility and able to take on additional roles as and when required
Desirable Qualifications
Diploma or degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain, or Operations Management.
