A.W. Jenkinson Forest Products has an exciting opportunity for a Purchasing Assistant to help strengthen the Arb Residue purchasing team. This position will be based at our head office at Clifton, Penrith.
Working as part of the arb team, the ideal candidate will be responsible for:
Sourcing material for a number of our key processing sites across the UK through cold calling.
Providing a high level of customer service at all times.
Day to day communication with hauliers and suppliers.
Building and managing relationships with potential and existing customers/clients.
The successful candidate will:
Have the ability to communicate effectively with the team and customers.
Be able to provide accurate and up to date information whilst maintaining a high level of
confidentiality.
Be goal driven and able to work to deadlines.
Have excellent I.T. and administration skills which are essential for this role.
Be able to communicate with all areas of the business including suppliers, hauliers, and contractors.
An understanding of the arboriculture and timber markets is desirable but not essential as training
will be provided.
