We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Purchasing Assistant to join our procurement team. The successful candidate will support the sourcing and purchasing of goods and services, ensuring optimal inventory levels and supplier relationships. The Purchasing Assistant will play a vital role in maintaining seamless logistics and procurement processes, contributing to overall business efficiency.
Responsibilities
Assisting and supporting the Supply Chain team
Chasing orders with suppliers by email or phone
Communicating internally regarding status of orders, liaising with Managers on current issues
Entering data into the MRP system
Sending suppliers order books and updating the system
Monitoring and managing purchase requisitions
Placing purchase orders as necessary
Skills
Previous administrative and/or purchasing experience
Excellent communication and organisation skills, with the ability to build relationships with internal and external stakeholders
Proactive approach to problem solving, with superb attention to detail and accuracy
Good working knowledge of Microsoft Excel and Word.
Experience with Sage200 MRP system (advantageous, not essential)
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time, Permanent
Pay: 24,000.00-28,000.00 per year
Expected hours: 32 - 38 per week
