Purchasing & Procurement Assistant

to take responsibility for ordering workshop parts, stationery, uniforms, and other essential supplies.

The Role



As a Purchasing & Procurement Assistant, you will play a key role in ensuring our teams have the right equipment and materials when they need them. From negotiating with suppliers to keeping accurate purchase records, you'll help the business save money, avoid downtime, and maintain high standards of operation.

Key Responsibilities



Ordering workshop parts, consumables, tools, stationery, uniforms, and other supplies. Liaising with suppliers to secure competitive pricing and reliable delivery. Monitoring stock levels and scheduling reorders to prevent shortages. Raising purchase orders and maintaining accurate procurement records. Comparing suppliers and negotiating terms to identify cost savings. Coordinating with workshop and office teams to meet purchasing needs. Handling returns, warranty claims, and supplier issues. Assisting in improving stock control and procurement processes.

Skills & Experience



Previous purchasing, procurement, or stock control experience (preferred but not essential). Strong organisational and time management skills. Good negotiation and supplier relationship management abilities. Confident with IT systems (Microsoft Office, Excel, ordering platforms). High level of accuracy and attention to detail.

Personal Attributes



Proactive, resourceful, and able to work independently. Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written. Reliable and trustworthy with company spending. Flexible and adaptable to changing priorities.

Pay: 12.21-13.50 per hour
