QEHS Coordinator (Quality, Environmental, Health & Safety)
Mon-Fri Days

What will the role look like?
Reporting into the AFI Taw Valley QEHS Team Leader, you will work collaboratively within your team and other functions to support the delivery of business objectives. You will communicate, advise and comply with Arla Foods and AFI standards and policies, as well as the applicable legislation and requirements from third party certifiers and our customers.
Key responsibilities of the role include:

  • General administrative tasks including updating daily KPIs, supporting reviews and amendments on Risk Assessments and SOPs, including document control, using LIA to report observations and process deviations, contributing to QEHS periodic reviews and annual Management Review, and releasing products to meet orders.
  • Quality Management Systems- contributing to HACCP management, leading CCP training for operators, supporting the completion and follow-up on internal and external audits, processing Quality Incident Reports and Non-Conformance reports, and overseeing customer and supplier complaints
  • Product Analysis - completing sample preparation alongside the TVC laboratory team, supporting the weekly environmental monitoring programme, maintaining analytical equipment, and reporting on incoming analysis results.
  • Continuous Improvement - Participate in quality or safety related projects and problem solves to share specialist knowledge.
  • Ways of working - deputising the AFI Taw Valley QEHS Team Leader, participating in relevant training courses and other development activities, setting personal day-to-day objectives, participating and contributing to team meetings, daily reporting, follow-up and handover of ongoing issues and tasks, and ensuring a safe workplace and a pleasant working environment.
Background/experience
The ideal candidate will have:
  • Knowledge of dairy or a food process background
  • A structured approach to optimisation & problem solving
  • HACCP Level 3 & Food Hygiene Level 3 training
  • Health, Safety & Environment training or work experience would be advantageous
Key competencies:
  • Excellent oral & written communication skills
  • A high degree of self-motivation & the ability to work individually and in teams
  • An understanding of basic SAP functions
  • Experience with Microsoft Applications
  • Data management & trend analysis
  • HACCP
  • Quality & EHS Audits
