Job Description

We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Quality, Health, Safety & Environmental (QHSE) Administrator to support day-to-day office operations to assist the QHSE Team to ensure compliance with Quality, Health, Safety, and Environmental standards. The ideal candidate will have strong administrative skills and experience in implementing and maintaining documented management systems. QHSE experience & qualifications would be preferred.

It would also be beneficial if the successful candidate could develop their role over time to undertake other QHSE related activities within the team, such as internal inspections & audits.

Key Responsibilities:



Administrative Duties:



Provide general administrative support to the QHSE Team Work effectively in a team Ability to manage tasks and meet deadlines Manage correspondence, scheduling, filing systems, and document control. Assist in the compilation of QHSE documentation Take QHSE meeting notes and prepare minutes Liaise and work proactively with HR Team as required. Assist in the QHSE Induction process for new employees & visitors.
Working within a small and supportive team of QHSE, contract, project, and operational managers the role will be multi-faceted which will help you to develop a range of specialist QHSE, technical, commercial and construction skills. You will be expected to complete a wide range of administrative duties to assist the QHSE department which will lead to a varied and interesting position.

Main responsibilities and Duties within the Role



Initially, the role will be office-based work at Chesterfield, developing to site-based work throughout the UK.

The main duties will involve working closely with Group Health & Safety Manager and HSE Site Manager to:

Assist in preparing and developing project QHSE documentation in line with Marriott Drilling, UK HSE and client, requirements. Assist in maintaining QHSE documented records in line with the requirements of OSHAS 18001:2007 (migrating to ISO 45001:2018), ISO 14001:2015 and ISO 9001:2015. Assist in maintaining employee training & competency matrices and arranging training. Assist and develop QHSE audit & Inspection programs and update Preventative and Corrective Action Trackers and follow up actions with management. Update QHSE boards, produce and send QHSE notices, posters, and signs Assist in producing, distributing & recording QHSE alerts, Toolbox talks, Visual aids, posters as required Assisting in the preparation of tenders for projects General and technical report writing in line with experience.

Experience Required



The position would be well suited for graduates from either a Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (STEM)background with a genuine interest in QHSE; or a candidate previous QHSE administration or project/contract administration experience. Other relevant experience would include:

Working within the construction or engineering industry Computer literacy with experience of Microsoft Office, specifically MS Excel (Essential) and PowerPoint Familiarity with QHSE Management Systems (OSHAS 18001:2007, ISO 45001:2018, ISO 14001:2015, ISO 9001 :2015 is preferrable Organised, presentable with strong communication skills Evidence of producing high quality of presentations & written communication. Working to targets and deadlines within a fast pace environment Although relevant work experience would be an advantage, training will be given in all aspects of the position and applicants will primarily be assessed on their attitude for learning and general work ethic.

Skills



Occupational Health & Safety Qualification - IOSH, NEBOSH (Desired) or experience in an Administration within a QHSE Team would be highly advantageous. Excellent written and spoken English is required. Strong communication and administration skills, preferably with exposure to health and safety Great organisational skills and the ability to work both on your own and in a team Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office packages A CSCS and water hygiene card will be required for the role and the company will help the right candidate to attain these (the Marriott Drilling Group operates a training facility at its headquarters, and this offers a range of courses for CPD). Personally, applicants should have a drive to learn and advance their career in a contracting setting and be able to negotiate situations favourably. A full driving license is required or should be attained within 3 months of job acceptance.

Role development



Any opportunity does exist for the correct person to advance to a more senior QHSE role. This will depend on the existing skills, knowledge, experience, and ability of the applicant. Training will be provided to develop the applicant in the role.

Remuneration:



Dependent on experience.
