We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Dance teacher to join our team. Initially this will be a cover role starting mid November but leading to your own classes in January for the right person. You should be experienced and qualified in teaching dance, we are an IDTA school but open to other teaching qualifications. You should be able to teach all styles of theatre dance from ballet to Streetdance/commercial. An ability to teach acro an advantage, we also teach aerial silks so either experience in this or at least a willingness to learn would also be an advantage. Experience in choreography for shows and competitions is also necessary.
Responsibilities
Plan and deliver engaging dance lessons tailored to the needs of students.
Foster a positive learning environment that encourages creativity and self-expression.
Manage classroom behaviour effectively, ensuring a safe and respectful atmosphere.
Provide constructive feedback to students to help them improve their skills.
Collaborate with other instructors to develop performance opportunities and events.
Maintain clear communication with parents regarding student progress and class activities.
Adapt teaching methods to accommodate diverse learning styles and abilities, including those with special educational needs.
Participate in ongoing professional development to enhance teaching skills and stay current with dance trends.
Requirements
Proven experience in teaching dance.
Strong communication skills for effective interaction with students, parents, and colleagues.
Experience working with children in a similar setting.

Pay: From 15.00 per hour
