A friendly, hardworking team player is required to work 2 and half days over a 5 day week as a dental nurse in a busy dental practice in Abertillery. The successful candidate would need to be a qualified GDC registered dental nurse and will need a DBS check for this role.

We are a single handed dental practice situated in Abertillery town centre aiming to provide an affordable, high standard of family dental care through NHS, Private and Denplan Care Schemes in a safe and friendly environment. We utilise fully computerised clinical and practice management software.

We are looking for someone who can be flexible, is able to cover staff holidays and sick leave. In return we will offer you support in meeting GDC registration and CPD requirements, also membership of the NEST Pension Scheme.

Rate of pay will be negotiable, dependant on experience. Holiday entitlement starts at 4 weeks, plus bank holidays per annum and is pro rata.

As a member of our team, you will be expected to maintain the surgery to the highest clinical standards, providing chair side support to the dentist, will be responsible for practice hygiene, reprocessing instruments, ordering stock and maintaining patient records.

When required to cover you will be expected to help on reception, you will be the first point of contact in the patient journey; you will undertake general administration, make appointments, collect and record patient charges, process NHS claims, participate in our patient recall system and send/receive work to dental laboratories.
