We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate qualified Dental Nurse to join our dental practice. The successful candidate will assist dentists during procedures, provide excellent patient care, and ensure the smooth operation of daily clinic activities. Responsibilities
Assist dentists during various dental procedures, ensuring patient comfort and safety.
Prepare treatment rooms with necessary instruments and materials prior to appointments.
Sterilise and maintain dental equipment in accordance with health and safety standards.
Provide patients with pre- and post-treatment instructions and support.
Record patient details accurately using IT systems, ensuring confidentiality at all times.
Manage appointment scheduling efficiently to optimise clinic workflow.
Support with administrative tasks such as updating patient records and handling correspondence.
Ensure the clinic environment remains clean, organised, and compliant with infection control protocols.
Communicate effectively with patients, addressing their concerns with professionalism and empathy.
Qualifications
Proven experience in patient care within a healthcare or dental setting is desirable.
Good command of English, both written and spoken, to communicate clearly with patients and team members.
Basic knowledge of nursing principles applicable to dental care.
Familiarity with IT systems used for record keeping and appointment management.
Excellent communication skills to liaise effectively with patients and colleagues.
Strong organisational skills to manage multiple tasks efficiently under pressure.
A recognised qualification in dental nursing or equivalent is preferred but not essential for internship roles.
