Job Overview

We are seeking a

qualified and GDC-registered Dental Nurse

to join our friendly and professional dental team. The successful candidate will play a vital role in supporting clinicians, delivering high standards of patient care, and ensuring the smooth day-to-day running of the practice.

Dental Nursing Duties:

Assist clinicians during a wide range of dental procedures, ensuring optimal chairside support. Prepare surgeries before and after each patient, maintaining strict cross-infection control and sterilisation protocols. Ensure equipment and materials are available and maintained to the highest standards. Maintain accurate patient records, including medical histories and treatment plans, using IT systems effectively. Support clinical audits, stock control, and compliance with CQC regulations. Provide high quality, friendly and compassionate patient care Communicate effectively with patients, providing information on oral hygiene practices and post-treatment care. Collaborate with the dental team to ensure efficient clinic operations and contribute to a positive team environment.

Qualities and Experience

GDC-registered and fully qualified Dental Nurse. Previous experience in a private or mixed dental practice is preferred. Excellent communication, organisation, and multitasking skills. A friendly, professional manner with a genuine focus on patient care. Confident using dental software (e.g. SOE/Exact or similar). Flexible and adaptable team player, able to prioritise effectively.

Pay: 14.00-15.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 - 46 per week

Dental assisting: 1 year (preferred)
Licence/Certification:

GDC registration (required)
