We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Dental Nurse to join our dental practice. The successful candidate will support dentists during procedures, ensure patient comfort, and maintain high standards of hygiene and organisation within the clinic. Responsibilities

Assist dentists during a variety of dental procedures, ensuring patient safety and comfort at all times Prepare treatment rooms with necessary instruments and materials prior to appointments Provide patients with pre- and post-treatment instructions, answering any questions they may have Maintain strict hygiene standards by sterilising instruments and ensuring clinical areas are clean and organised Record patient information accurately using IT systems, including treatment notes and medical histories Support with administrative tasks such as scheduling appointments and managing patient records Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations within the practice Communicate effectively with patients, providing reassurance and clear explanations of procedures

Qualifications

Proven experience in patient care, ideally within a dental or healthcare setting Good command of English, both written and verbal, to communicate effectively with patients and team members Basic knowledge of nursing principles relevant to dental care Competent IT skills for managing electronic patient records and administrative tasks Excellent communication skills to build rapport with patients and colleagues Strong organisational skills to manage multiple tasks efficiently in a busy environment A recognised qualification in dental nursing or equivalent is desirable but not essential for entry-level candidates willing to undertake training
