Job Title:

Qualified Dental Nurse

Opportunity to work with our experienced dentists who have interests in cosmetic treatments, implants and Invisalign, and a supportive team.

Full time (37 hours p/w)*, permanent role, working Monday - Thursday 8.15am - 5.15pm with 1 hour lunch and Friday 8.15am - 1.15pm. Who doesn't love an early Friday finish?!

Part time hours working Tuesday to Friday (29 hours) could be considered.
Free parking in the immediate vicinity. GDC registration is paid for by the practice and extra day holiday given for birthday after 12months service.

Duties and responsibilities include:

To perform high quality dental nursing whilst assisting the dentists and hygienists/therapists. Clean and sterilise all equipment/instruments and working surfaces to the required standards. Reception duties; including meeting and greeting patients, handling telephone queries, arranging appointments, taking payments, recalls, updating records etc.

Experience, skills and attributes required:

QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE

Registration with the General Dental Council

National Certificate in Dental Nursing / NVQ Level 3 Oral Health Care or equivalent

Experience working in a dental environment.

ABILITY

Good interpersonal, oral and written communication skills

Ability to calm and reassure nervous or anxious people

Appropriate IT Skills

Ability to anticipate the needs of the clinician in surgery and prioritise tasks

Willingness to study and learn new skills

Good time management skills

Proactive approach

Able to add value and work well as part of a team
