We are seeking a friendly, professional, and reliable Qualified Dental Nurse who is also confident supporting our reception team. This is a varied role within a welcoming and supportive dental practice where patient care is our top priority. The successful candidate will be the first point of contact for patients, responsible for managing appointments, patient care coordination, and administrative duties. This role offers an excellent opportunity to work within a supportive team environment, contributing to the delivery of high-quality dental care.
Responsibilities
Greet patients warmly and professionally upon arrival.
Manage appointment scheduling efficiently using practice Dentally software
Answer phone calls, respond to enquiries, and provide accurate information about services
Collect patient information and update records in compliance with data protection regulations
Assist with patient care coordination, including reminders for upcoming appointments and follow-up communications
Handle administrative tasks such as billing, processing payments, and maintaining filing systems
Assist dentists during clinical procedures
Prepare and maintain surgery to high standards of cleanliness and efficiency
Carry out instrument sterilisation and infection control procedures
Support the smooth running of daily operations
Qualifications
GDC registration (essential)
Excellent communication skills in English, both written and verbal
Strong organisational and multitasking abilities
Knowledge of IT systems, including practice management software (Dentally) and Microsoft Office applications
Professional, caring attitude towards patients and understanding of confidentiality protocols
Ability to work well within a team and demonstrate professionalism at all times
Prior experience in nursing
Hours:
Monday to Thursday 7:30am to 5pm & Friday 7:45am to 2:45pm
