We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Dental Nurse to join our dental practice. The successful candidate will support dentists during procedures, provide excellent patient care, and ensure the smooth operation of daily clinic activities. Responsibilities
Assist dentists during a variety of dental procedures, ensuring all necessary instruments and materials are prepared and sterilised.
Provide exceptional patient care by explaining procedures, offering reassurance, and ensuring patient comfort throughout appointments.
Maintain accurate patient records using IT systems, including treatment notes and appointment scheduling.
Ensure the clinical environment is clean, organised, and compliant with health and safety regulations.
Support with administrative duties such as booking appointments, managing patient files, and handling correspondence.
Adhere to infection control protocols, including sterilisation of equipment and maintaining hygiene standards.
Communicate effectively with patients, team members, and external healthcare providers to facilitate seamless service delivery.
Qualifications
Proven experience in patient care within a dental or healthcare setting is preferred.
Strong communication skills in English, both written and verbal.
Knowledge of nursing principles and practices relevant to dental care.
Basic IT skills for managing electronic health records and appointment systems.
Excellent organisational skills to coordinate multiple tasks efficiently.
Ability to work collaboratively within a team while demonstrating professionalism and empathy.
A recognised qualification in dental nursing or equivalent is desirable but not essential for entry-level candidates willing to undertake training.
