We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Dental Nurse to join our dental practice. The successful candidate will support dentists during procedures, ensure patient comfort, and maintain the highest standards of hygiene and organisation within the clinic. Responsibilities

Assist dentists during a variety of dental procedures, ensuring smooth workflow and patient comfort Prepare treatment rooms by sterilising instruments and ensuring all necessary equipment is available Provide patients with pre- and post-treatment instructions, answering any questions they may have Maintain accurate patient records using IT systems, ensuring confidentiality at all times Support with infection control protocols, including sterilisation and disposal of clinical waste Organise appointment schedules efficiently to optimise clinic operations Communicate effectively with patients, providing reassurance and addressing concerns with professionalism Support administrative tasks such as updating patient information and managing stock levels of dental supplies

Experience

Prior experience in a dental or healthcare environment is desirable but not essential; training will be provided for suitable candidates undertaking internships or entry-level roles Strong patient care skills with a compassionate approach Proficiency in English, both written and verbal, for effective communication with patients and team members Basic IT skills for managing patient records and appointment scheduling Excellent organisational skills to handle multiple tasks efficiently Good communication skills to liaise effectively within the dental team and with patients
