Qualified Dental Nurse

Responsibilities

Assist dentists during a variety of dental procedures, ensuring patient comfort and safety. Prepare treatment rooms by sterilising instruments and ensuring all necessary equipment is ready. Provide pre- and post-treatment care instructions to patients. Maintain accurate patient records and update treatment notes efficiently using IT systems. Ensure strict adherence to health and safety protocols, including infection control standards. Support with administrative tasks such as appointment scheduling and patient correspondence. Communicate effectively with patients, addressing their concerns with professionalism and empathy. Organise clinical supplies and ensure the cleanliness of all areas within the practice.

Experience

Previous experience in a dental pracrtice is essential Candidates should be qualified dental nurses and registered with the General Dental Council Strong patient care skills with a focus on compassion and professionalism. Proficiency in English, with excellent communication skills to interact effectively with patients and team members. Basic IT skills for managing patient records and appointment systems. Organisational skills to manage multiple tasks efficiently in a fast-paced environment. Knowledge of nursing principles relevant to dental care is desirable but not mandatory; relevant training will be offered for those eager to learn.
