Our HR Advisor (HR compliance focused) will provide a professional and practical HR advisory service that supports Heads of Department in managing their teams effectively. The HR Advisor ensures people related processes are completed accurately and in line with company policy and the ACAS Code of Practice.
This role combines administrative and advisory duties, managing HR documentation, investigations, and compliance, while enabling managers to lead confidently and lawfully.
Specific Duties & Responsibilities
Provide clear and consistent advice to Heads of Department on all HR policies, procedures, and best practice in line with the ACAS Code.
Prepare and issue HR documentation including meeting invites, investigation notes, and outcome letters.
Conduct timely fact-finding investigations for disciplinary, grievance, and capability matters, ensuring accuracy and impartiality.
Support managers in hearings by advising on process and taking notes, without leading or deciding outcomes.
Guide on absence management, performance plans, and return-to-work procedures, maintaining accurate records.
Manage administration for maternity, paternity, adoption, flexible working, and contract changes.
Support managers where required with recruitment, exit interviews, on boarding, and probation reviews, ensuring all documentation is completed correctly.
Oversee CPL training and staff communications, monitoring compliance and completion rates.
Maintain personnel files and HR records in line with GDPR and company standards.
Remain up to date on employment law developments and communicate key updates to management.
Job Types: Part-time, Permanent
Pay: 16.00-18.00 per hour
