Look no further - Evolve Energy is seeking a passionate and professional Quality Assurance Analyst to join our vibrant team, based at our head office in Lytham St Annes, with occasional travel.





Evolve Energy offers nationwide coverage supplying sites from Land's End to John O'Groats. We operate across a wide range of sectors including retail, leisure, manufacturing, casual dining, luxury hotels and technology - and some public sector organisations too.


Scope of the Role:





The development team are responsible for the design, build, testing, implementation and support of Evolve Energy's critical software solutions via Scrum/Agile practices. The Quality Analyst will take a pro-active role designing and executing the testing elements in our Sprints. This position requires a proactive individual with excellent communication skills and the ability to handle multiple requests within a busy environment.



You will need a 'can do' attitude and a keen eye for detail and, with a proven track record in similar Quality Assurance roles, will be pivotal in our drive to deliver business value to our colleagues via quality software via efficient working practices.



As part of our commitment to delivering quality efficiently, we are keen to develop and deploy automated testing capability within our CI/CD pipelines. This is a green field site in that regard and presents an outstanding opportunity for the right candidate to grow and own that function.


Role & Responsibilities





This role will be fundamental to the continued success of the Development team and to Evolve Energy. You will be working in a supportive, multi-disciplinary team where collaboration and collective effort are the order of the day.



You will work closely with the team and wider colleagues and proactively address the testing elements of our developments, engaging early in the cycle to facilitate a smooth transition of work across the Sprint. You will develop quality testing plans and cases and execute/implement these via manual effort and automated tooling.



We have many upcoming projects and you will be instrumental in our success in delivering these from a quality perspective whilst also establishing a solid regression testing platform to provide the confidence we need as we move through that book of work.


Personal Specification Skills & Experience




Experience with manual and automation testing across web applications and back-end services Proficient in designing, writing and implementing test plans, scripts and test cases Experience working with DevOps, or similar test and defect management tools Experience working with MS Azure Functions and Service Bus Knowledge of integrating Automation testing into CI/CD pipelines Experience working with C#, Blazor, SQL Server Experience using Automated testing platforms such as Selenium, Cypress, Playwright & JMeter Experience of different test types (e.g. smoke, regression, security, integration, exploratory, end-to-end) Experience analysing and triaging test failures to identify root causes and work towards resolutions though team collaboration

Exposure to working in multi-disciplinary Scrum teams within an Agile framework Confident in contributing to team discussions and challenging when required Have strong customer service skills and the ability to work within strict deadlines Strong written and spoken communication skills, with the ability to clearly highlight risks/issues and report testing effectiveness Have strong problem-solving and analytical skills
